Gavião, lands of great emotions, for the magnificent landscapes, in which both banks of the Tagus River can be seen. We are in the presence of a path with many pedestrian trails in a natural environment, with several ups and downs in areas of almost wild nature, obstacle crossing and a wooden walkway next to the course of the river.

Leave Belver, next to the Mother Church, go down Rua da Fontinha towards the old Lagar da Fraga, along the old levada, and cross the Ribeira de Belver by suspension bridge. Follow paths between walls to the road. Turn left and then right, after a few meters, and follow a rural path between centenary olive groves and small cultivated fields to Torre Fundeira. Leave the village on an asphalt road and, after passing the stream, turn right towards the hill where the Anta do Penedo Gordo is located, an excellent megalithic monument.

From this place, start the descent to the Tagus River, first smoother and somewhat inclined from Cabeço do Pintalgaio, and the greatest attention should be paid to the natural staircase there. Access Praia da Ortiga always next to the river branch, cross the train line and pass next to the old residential neighborhood, until you reach the crossing deck over the wall of the Belver Dam. After this crossing, turn left and take the natural trail that always follows along the left bank of the river, from downstream to upstream. Pass by the ruins of the Fadagosa de Belver Hot Springs, currently submerged, and always follow the trail of enormous beauty to the Alamal River Beach. From this place, follow an artificial wooden walkway, always along the bank. Go up to the road, pass the road bridge to the other bank and start the climb up the stairs, immediately to the right at the end of the bridge, next to the Belver Tapestry Museum. After the staircase, follow a well-marked trail, which turns into a contemporary art exhibition path along the walls of the route, always with impressive landscapes around. Rua da Fonte Velha leads to Rua Cândido dos Reis, which ends at the starting point.
