Facing the sea that shaped Viana's history, a baroque church houses the image of Our Lady of Agony, the fishermen's devotion. She comes out every year on 20 August to bless the sea in one of Portugal's most colourful festivals, where the richness of the typical costumes that parade in the festivals, displaying the beauty of gold filigree, are worth mentioning.
On the outskirts of the city, you can take a stroll along the cycling route.
