Just one hour and a half from Oporto, at the south-western tip of the Bragança district, a quiet plateau overlooks the Tua, Sabor and Douro valleys at an altitude of 2625 ft (800 metres). In the municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães, just outside the village of Fonte Longa, the small municipal road CM1142 passes through Besteiros. Inside, there are two rooms totalling 538 ft2 (50m2), separated by a wooden partition. The floor is also made of wood.

The floor of the first floor cannot be walked on. This means that views of the interior of the house can only be appreciated in the 360º tour.

In the courtyard, as you return to the road, an old gate and a low wall mark the boundary of a small outbuilding in ruins, which will be used as a small garden.
This property does not own any land, but it is easy to acquire a plot of farmland in Besteiros.

This very charming house is in need of major renovation: the granite exterior walls will be preserved; the roof, floors, half-timbering, water and electricity, doors and windows will have to be redone. However, there is great potential for a 1076 ft2 (100m2) residence, keeping the wine press as a distinctive feature.
The neighbouring building is connected to electricity, with a power pole on the other side of the road. The electrification of the property therefore consists of adding a meter. The request for a water connection can be made to the local council without difficulty.

On the other side of the lake is the municipal outdoor swimming pool.

The region is renowned for the quality of its apples, fine wine, olive oil and chestnuts. The region's cultural and historical heritage is well worth visiting: prehistoric marks, chapels and castles, as well as traditional festivals. The municipality has 8 footpaths of varying degrees of difficulty, allowing you to appreciate the strength, diversity and splendour of the environment.
